We want to make people feel at home with “my father’s taste,” which is made with a lot of time and effort and with lots of love.
This family business restaurant, founded 53 years ago, specializes in tonkatsu (deep fried pork). It has beenmanaged by 2nd and 3rd generations. The 2nd owner isin charge of deep-fried foods and his son, the 3rd (ownerto-be), sashimi and dried foods. Customers enjoy talkingwith the waitress, the owner’s wife, the most ! That is onereason why they have regulars. Both set meals for lunchand Obanzai (traditional Kyoto style dishes made of boiledvegetables and marinated food) for dinner are very popular
Despite being a tonkatsu restaurant, Yasuemon offers a wide variety of side dishes made from seasonal ingredients at its counter.
In addition to the main course of tonkatsu, the restaurant also offers a wide variety of delicious side dishes.
Side dishes such as potato salad and spinach with sesame paste served with set meals are all handmade.
Other seasonal dishes such as taro, lotus root, peas, and other seasonal vegetables, samma and buri daikon in the fall and winter, and horse mackerel tataki in the summer are also recommended.
The Japanese cuisine prepared by the manager, who trained at a tempura restaurant in Ginza for 10 years and has a great deal of cooking experience, is exquisite.
The restaurant manager’s carefully prepared and delicious dishes have a comforting taste, which explains why there are so many repeat customers.
You can order side dishes and fried foods, or take out a set meal as a bento box.
